Homemade Felt and Vinyl Magnets
Who doesn’t enjoy a fun magnet and how many of us use the front of our refrigerators to display our magnet collections? Join us at the Floyd County Carnegie Library Cultural Arts Center and let’s have fun making our own creative, vinyl magnets! Fish are just one idea, but using provided felt, vinyl magnetic sheets, scissors, and markers you can turn your refrigerator into a personal masterpiece.
CAC Museum Educator, Al Gorman, will lead this free class in the museum’s Jane Barth Anderson Meeting Room on our lower level. The process is uncomplicated and all supplies will be on hand to make a couple of unique, larger magnets. Simply adhere the felt sheet to the adhesive-backed magnetic vinyl and draw your shape. The vinyl is easily cut with scissors, and decorated with markers and other art materials. We hope to see you here at the Cultural Arts Center soon!
