Join us at the Carnegie Cultural Arts Center to Celebrate Native American Heritage Month with an afternoon of creativity and cultural appreciation. In this free hands-on art program, visitors will explore Native American symbolism and learn how animals, nature, and shapes have been used to tell stories and represent values.

Participants will create their own symbolic sand art using glue, colored sand, and simple design techniques inspired by the traditional sand paintings of Southwestern tribes. Perfect for elementary-age kids and up this activity encourages personal expression while honoring Indigenous artistic traditions in a respectful and age-appropriate way. Registration is encouraged.
