Revolutionary Artists: Miniature Portraits

How would you take a “selfie” in the 18th century? Why did George Washington dislike sitting for his portrait? Why were portraits so important in this time period? Attendees will discover artists and artistic methods of the revolution. With an emphasis on miniature portraits, attendees will learn about the significance of art in the 18th century and make their own miniature portrait.

Supplies will be provided. Registration is recommended!
